What this comparison actually is
It is a promoted list. Vivimate IPTV is our own service, and several of the outbound links to the other six services are commercial. That is the single most important thing to know before reading anything else on those pages, which is why it appears in an orange box at the top of every one of them rather than in a footnote.
It is not an independent survey, a consumer test, or a review round-up. Nobody paid us to place a competitor above or below another, because after September 2026 there is no above or below: the seven are listed in alphabetical order, which happens to put our own service last.
Why we stopped publishing a ranking
Until September 2026 these pages ran a numbered list, #1 through #7, and Vivimate IPTV occupied #1 on every one of the 23 country guides. The order was presented as a conclusion — the schema markup even emitted it as an ordered ItemList — but no basis for it was ever published, and the party doing the ranking was also the party holding first place.
There is no version of that arrangement a reader should trust, and adding a methodology page underneath it would have dressed up the problem rather than fixed it. So the ranking went and the comparison stayed. The underlying content — what each service carries, what it costs, which household it suits — was always the useful part.
Individual country guides still say where a particular service does unusually well or badly in that market. That is a more honest and more useful signal than one global order, because the answer genuinely differs between a household in Manchester and one in Monterrey.
Where each number comes from
The tabulated specifications — channel counts, on-demand library sizes, quality tiers, device support — are the figures each provider publishes about itself. We have not independently counted 55,000 channels, and neither has anyone else. Treat every number in that table, ours included, as a provider claim rather than a measurement.
This matters more than it sounds. Channel counts across this industry are inflated by counting regional duplicates, inactive feeds and multiple quality variants of the same channel as separate entries. A service advertising 24,000 channels is not necessarily carrying half of what one advertising 55,000 carries. The number is a marketing unit, not a specification, and the only figure that matters is whether the specific channels you want are live when you want them.
That is exactly what a trial is for, and every service on the list offers one.
What is our own judgement
The written verdict on each service, the pros lists, and the country-specific notes are ours. They reflect what we understand about each service's positioning — on-demand depth, sport-first capacity allocation, player interface quality, price point — and they are opinions, not measurements.
Where an opinion depends on a fact we cannot verify, we try to say so rather than assert it. Where we get one wrong, the correction route is on our editorial standards page.
What we would rather you did
Run the trial, at the worst possible moment. Not on a Tuesday afternoon, but during the busiest fixture of your week, when every server in your region is under load. A stream that holds up at 3pm on a weekday tells you almost nothing.
Check the specific channels you are buying for, not the headline count. Check that the electronic programme guide matches the real broadcast schedule rather than sitting empty or a day out. Test on the device you will actually watch on, since a stream that plays on a phone can still stutter on a five-year-old Smart TV. And message support before you pay, so you learn what their response time looks like while you are still a prospect rather than a customer.
If a service fails those four checks it does not matter where anyone ranked it.
