IPTV EPG Not Working — Restore Your TV Guide

The EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) is the built-in TV schedule that displays what is airing on each channel — indispensable for US viewers planning around NFL games, MLB broadcasts, and primetime series. When it goes blank or shows wrong times, here is how to fix it.

Common EPG Problems

  • ▸EPG shows 'No information' across all channels
  • ▸Guide data loads partway then stops populating
  • ▸Schedule times are exactly one hour off
  • ▸EPG was working fine but broke after an app update
  • ▸Individual channels are missing from the guide entirely

Fix 1: Force-Refresh the EPG in TiviMate

  1. 1Open TiviMate and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
  2. 2Scroll to EPG Settings.
  3. 3Tap Refresh EPG Now.
  4. 4Give the app 3–5 minutes to download the full guide dataset.
  5. 5Return to the TV Guide tab and confirm programme information is now displayed.

💡 Schedule automatic EPG refreshes in TiviMate under Settings → EPG Settings → Auto Update — set it for 6 AM daily.

Fix 2: Force-Refresh EPG in IPTV Smarters Pro

  1. 1Open IPTV Smarters Pro and navigate to your playlist settings.
  2. 2Select Update Playlist or Refresh.
  3. 3Allow 2–3 minutes for the guide data to download completely.
  4. 4Open the Live TV section and check whether EPG columns are now populated.

Fix 3: Fix Schedule Times That Are One Hour Wrong

  1. 1An hour offset is almost always a timezone misconfiguration — the app is reading UTC instead of your local time.
  2. 2In TiviMate: go to Settings → EPG Settings → EPG Timeshift and set the correct offset for your timezone.
  3. 3In IPTV Smarters: navigate to Settings → Time Offset and adjust to match your local time.
  4. 4EPG programme times should now align with actual broadcast schedules.

💡 US time zones: Eastern (ET) is UTC-5 in winter and UTC-4 in summer. Update EPG Timeshift each time clocks change in March and November.

Fix 4: Clear the EPG Cache

  1. 1In TiviMate: Settings → EPG Settings → Clear EPG Cache.
  2. 2Fully close TiviMate, reopen it, and trigger an EPG refresh.
  3. 3Clearing the cache forces the app to pull a completely fresh copy of guide data from the server.

Fix 5: Confirm Your Vivimate IPTV EPG URL

  1. 1Some apps require the EPG URL to be entered separately from your playlist credentials.
  2. 2Message Vivimate IPTV support on WhatsApp to get your correct EPG URL.
  3. 3Locate the EPG URL field inside your app's playlist settings and paste in the URL.
  4. 4Save and refresh the EPG.

Fix 6: Reinstall the IPTV App

  1. 1Completely uninstall your IPTV app — do not just clear data.
  2. 2Download and reinstall a fresh copy from the app store or via Downloader.
  3. 3Re-enter your Vivimate IPTV credentials.
  4. 4Allow 5–10 minutes for the EPG to fully populate on first launch.
