How to Set Up IPTV on Kodi

Kodi does not play IPTV on its own — it needs the PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on, which is bundled with Kodi but disabled by default. Enable it, point it at your M3U playlist URL or Xtream Codes credentials, add an EPG URL if your provider issues one separately, then restart Kodi so the TV section appears. Kodi runs on almost anything, which makes it the usual answer for hardware no dedicated IPTV app supports.

Note: Kodi takes a few more steps than TiviMate or IPTV Smarters. If you're just getting started with IPTV, we'd suggest trying TiviMate on Firestick first. This guide is written for people already familiar with Kodi.

Configuring Vivimate IPTV in Kodi via PVR IPTV Simple Client

1Open Kodi and click the gear icon to enter Settings → Add-ons.
2Select Install from Repository → Kodi Add-on Repository.
3Browse to PVR Clients → PVR IPTV Simple Client and click Install.
4Once installed, go to Settings → PVR and Live TV → PVR IPTV Simple Client → Configure.
5Paste your Vivimate M3U URL into the M3U Playlist URL field (request this link via WhatsApp).
6Add your Vivimate EPG URL in the EPG Settings section to enable the US program guide.
7Click OK and restart Kodi when prompted.
8After the restart, head to the TV section in the main menu and your channels will be ready.

💡 Make sure you have both your M3U URL and your EPG URL before starting — grab them both from Vivimate support in one message.
